Modesty ~ In a standard massage session your therapist will work on your head, shoulders, neck, arms, legs, feet, and back. You will be draped with a clean sheet throughout the session. You may choose to be totally or partially unclothed under the drape. As each part of the body is being massaged, it is uncovered. Let the therapist know what you are comfortable with. Seated Chair Massage is performed with the client fully clothed.
Talking ~ Talking during your massage session is optional. It is up to the individual, some people prefer silence, especially during relaxation therapy, while others like more social interaction. The therapist may request feedback from you, especially when addressing a specific problem.
Crème, Lotion and Oils ~ Lubricants are commonly used to enable the therapist’s hands to glide over the skin without causing chaffing or pulling hair. Inform the therapist of any allergies you may have.
Make-up and Hair ~ A light face massage starts the session, your therapist will also work on your scalp and neck and may result in disturbing your makeup or hairstyle. Let the therapist know if this is a concern.
